Overview of X-Ray

X-ray services are a non-invasive diagnostic tool used to detect and diagnose various medical conditions. X-ray machines emit a small amount of radiation to produce images of the internal structures of your body, such as bones, tissues, and organs. The images are then interpreted by certified radiologists to aid your doctor in diagnosing your condition.

At Atlas Medical Diagnostic Centre, our team of highly trained and experienced radiologic technologists and certified radiologists work together to provide you with the best possible care. Our state-of-the-art X-ray machines are equipped with the latest technology to ensure that you receive high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.

Procedure of X-Ray

Here’s what to expect during an X-ray procedure at our facility:

  1. Preparation: You will be asked to remove any clothing or jewelry that might interfere with the X-ray images. You may be provided with a gown to wear during the procedure.

  2. Positioning: Our trained radiologic technologist will guide you into position to get the best possible image. You may be required to stand, sit, or lie down depending on the area being examined.

  3. Image capture: Once you are properly positioned, our technologist will operate the X-ray machine and take the necessary images. You may need to hold your breath for a few seconds during the procedure to ensure clear images.

  4. Completion of the procedure: Once the X-ray images are taken, our technologists will ensure they are of high quality and provide the results to our board-certified radiologists for interpretation.

  5. Interpretation of results: Our radiologists will examine the images and provide a report to your doctor. Your doctor will then discuss the results with you and determine any necessary next steps.

X-ray procedures are typically quick, taking only a few minutes to complete. There is no preparation required, and you can resume your regular activities immediately following the procedure. Our staff will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring that you feel comfortable and at ease.

After the X-ray images are taken, our radiologists will interpret the results and provide a report to your doctor. Your doctor will then review the results with you and determine any necessary next steps.

X-ray procedures are safe, quick, and painless. Our staff is committed to providing you with the highest level of care and comfort during your X-ray procedure.
